Your application procedure in step form
1. Download all the relevant forms:
1. FBIBC - Application for Membership, 2. Medical Disclaimer
3. SAIBA - Medical Form, 4. SAIBA - Eye Test,
2. Have your medical and optometrist test done.
3. Have 2 x ID photo’s taken, and provide a copy of your ID.
4. If you are not able to supply SAIBA with proof of medical cover, have your medical disclaimer stamped at the SAPS or signed by a Commissioner of Oaths (your club Chairman is a Commissioner of Oaths and we have a lawyer too who can sign this for you!)
5. FBIBC Club Membership: R150 per year.

6. SAIBA licence and membership fee:
Apply for a national license (club license included) = R715.00

7. Take all your paperwork to your chairman and proof of payments and get a receipt issued for this. Make sure your club chairman signs your licence application form.
8. Your chairman will then attach the confirmations of deposits and payments to your licence application. (SAIBA payment and club payment)
9. Your chairman will then complete the attached form and forward all the documentation to the relevant VP racing in order for you to get your licence number.
10. Clearly mark your deposit and payment details with your Name and Surname, with a “D” for driver or “C” for Co-driver and Boat Number (if you have one).
11. A boat number will be allocated to you once payment and license documentation have been received.
